Religion and science has always had there disagreements but I think with the this up coming cybernetics the subject is going to get more rowdy. 

Norbert wiener talks about in his book (god and Golam, inc A comment on certain points where cybernetics impinges religion) 

he says knowledge is inexhaustible intertwined with communication power with control, and the evaluation of human purpose with ethics and the whole normative side of religion. it is hence germane to a revised study of the relation between science and religion. that we should re-examine our ideas of these matter in term of the last development of theory and the practical techniques.

so would religion  have to think of cybernetics not just as science but a way to make man kind better. science is changing and the world with it, cybernetics wont stop nor will religion so will religious people have to bite there tongue as long as cybernetics is doing something good.
